How to Hide Individual Accounts on Instagram?

Instagram is a social media app that allows its users to share pictures and videos from their lives. By using Instagram, you can add captions, edit filters, engage with others, tweak settings, search and creep, and so on. If you’ve spent a good amount of your precious time with Instagram, you must already be aware of most of its features.

There’s an option provided in your Instagram app by using which you can choose to stop Instagram from presenting specific users in front of you or anywhere within the app unless you decide to seek them out manually.

Open your Instagram app on phone or PC.
Sign in to your Instagram by entering the name and password, tap on the “Sign in” button. (Or you can choose the Log In With Facebook option instead.)

Tap on the “Search bar.” You will find it at the very top of the screen.

Here, you will need to select and hold the account that you want to suppress.
Tap on the “Hide” button. You will find it towards the bottom of the screen.

Note: This hide button is a hidden gem. It helps you hide accounts from your recommendations, even if you keep looking at their account. Thus, the hide button is your solution to hide individual accounts on Instagram.

Finally, the account you have hidden will no longer appear in your suggestions list.

How to Password Protect Your Notes on iOS

The Notes app is a very useful app available on devices having iOS 9 and above. Naturally, it is handy for taking down notes but it is also loaded with other features in which you can add images or sketches and even draw over your notes!

The Notes app is almost like your personal diary where you can pen down all your emotions, thoughts, and feelings. Once you have added a password lock, your note can only be accessed using your Touch ID or the password that you have set. So let’s explore how you can apply a password lock on your notes!

How to Put a Password Lock on Your Note

Launch the Notes app on your iOS device.
Create a new note and enter whatever information that you would like to password protect. Furthermore, if you wish to put a password lock on an existing note, simply open it.
Tap on the export icon, it is depicted by an arrow pointing outwards from a box.
Scroll through the lower panel of options to find the Lock Note Tap on it.
You will be redirected to the Set Password Enter the password and re-enter it to verify the password. Set a password hint.
Toggle the Use Touch ID switch if you wish to use the Touch ID to unlock the note.
Once you have set up all the passwords, tap on Done. It should be mentioned here that all notes have the same password and different notes do not have different passwords, therefore, choose a password carefully.
You will once again visit the note with a prompt displaying Lock Added with a lock image.
Once you are done editing the note, you can lock it by tapping on the lock icon on the top tray. Locking the screen will also lock the note.
All notes will remain locked until you enter the correct password or use the Touch ID to unlock the note.

How to View the Password Protected Notes

Launch the Notes app on your iOS device.
Tap on the locked note.
You will see a This Note is Locked Tap on View Note just below the message.
You can use your Touch ID (if enabled) or enter the correct password, and you will gain access to the locked note.
Once you are done viewing or editing the note, lock it via the lock icon or by locking your screen.

How to Remove Password Lock on Notes

To remove the password on a note, tap on the export icon and then tap on Remove Lock.

How to Start Exporting Your Passwords and Login Data from Google Chrome?

In Google Chrome 66, rolling out now for iOS and Mac, Google has brought a new password export feature to the web browser through which your login details can easily be migrated to any another browser using a third-party password manager app.

In this blog, I will show you how you can export your passwords from Chrome on iOS and Mac.

When you reach at the end of the process, you will only have a CVS file holding all of your login credentials. The most recommended managers like 1Password and Enpass are meant to accept the CSV files in a proper manner for importing login data.

Note: Be careful about the CSV file you export from Chrome because you will get it in plain text. That means anyone could have access to your credentials, and these credentials could really be an easy target to be read by others. So, you need to make sure that you securely delete the file once you are done importing the data into the password manager of your choice.

How to Export Passwords from Chrome on the Mac?

Open your Google Chrome browser.
From the Chrome menu bar, select Chrome.
And go to the Preferences.
Then tap on the Settings button. You will find it in the upper left corner of the tabbed Settings screen of your browser.
Tap on the Advanced option in the Settings side panel.
Now you need to tap on the Password and Forms option in the drop-down menu.
Then tap on the Manage Passwords option.
Here you have to tap on the column of vertical dots. You will find it near the top right of the Save Passwords option.
Then in the pop-up menu, you will have to tap on the Export Passwords option.
From here, you will need to acknowledge the pop-up warning dialog by tapping on the blue Export Passwords button.
Also, you may need to enter your system password if asked to do so.
And then in the Export Window, you will have to choose a location on your Mac to start exporting the CSV file.
Finally, tap on the Save File option.

Launch the password manager of your choice and search for the import option with the login data that has been exported to your computer. The import option is typically found in the app’s menu bar under File. As soon as you finish importing the data from your CSV file, don’t forget to delete it, if possible, remove the file with a file shredding apps such as Incinerator or Secure Delete.

How to Export Chrome Passwords in the iOS?

Open your Google Chrome browser on an iPhone or iPad.
Click on the three dots. You will see them in the upper right side of the browser tab.
Click on the Settings option located in the drop-down menu.
Then click on the Passwords option.
Now you need to click on the Export Passwords option.
And then you will have to acknowledge the pop-up warning dialog by clicking on the Export Passwords option
With the Share Sheet, you need to choose a secure method (i.e., exclude Mail) in order to export the CSV file.
